Latest ICC women's T20I team rankings: England, India reduce gap on table-toppers Australia after annual update

The ICC Women’s T20I rankings have been refreshed following the annual update, with no change at the top but a slight closing of the gap between the leading sides ahead of the 2026 women's T20 World Cup.


Australia continue to occupy the No.1 position with 287 points, despite a drop of eight points . England remain second on 275 after a marginal two-point decline, while India have edged up to 264, reducing the gap further from third. As part of the update, matches played since May 2025 now carry full weight, while those from the preceding two years are valued at 50 per cent. Matches played before April 30, 2023 have been excluded from the calculation. The update has not affected the rankings of the top 16, with all teams holding their respective positions from last year. The contest for the next few spots remains tight, as West Indies, on 238, are closely followed by Sri Lanka, who have gained seven points to reach 237 and sit just one point behind. Pakistan continue in eighth place with 216 points. Ireland have moved up to 200 after a two-point increase, maintaining a narrow lead over Bangladesh, who are now on 199 following a five-point rise.
