The Hundred 2026
England's boldest cricket format — 100 balls, 8 franchises, and the biggest stars in the world. Now featuring MI London, Sunrisers Leeds and Manchester Super Giants for the first time.
About The Hundred
The Hundred is the England and Wales Cricket Board's revolutionary 100-ball competition, launched in 2021 to bring new audiences to cricket. Each innings uses exactly 100 balls — no traditional overs — with bowlers delivering sets of 5 or 10 consecutive balls, and a maximum of 20 per bowler. The result is non-stop action with every delivery decisive.
Eight franchises are anchored to England's iconic Test grounds: Lord's hosts both MI London and London Spirit; Trent Rockets play at Trent Bridge; Birmingham Phoenix at Edgbaston; Southern Brave at The Ageas Bowl; Sunrisers Leeds at Headingley; Manchester Super Giants at Old Trafford; and Welsh Fire at Sophia Gardens.
The 2026 edition marks a seismic shift: three teams rebranded following IPL franchise investment. Reliance Industries (Mumbai Indians) acquired the Oval Invincibles to create MI London. RPSG Group (Lucknow Super Giants) transformed Manchester Originals into Manchester Super Giants. And Sun TV Network (Sunrisers Hyderabad) converted Northern Superchargers into Sunrisers Leeds. The influx of IPL capital and global brand recognition represents the most significant development in The Hundred's short history.
The tournament runs home double-headers — women's matches followed by men's — creating a full day of cricket at each venue. With up to four overseas players per squad allowed in 2026, fans will see the world's best batting and bowling talent alongside England's brightest domestic stars.

📍 Ageas Bowl, Southampton
The inaugural men's champions (2021), the Brave are Hampshire's franchise and one of only two sides to have claimed The Hundred title so far. Based at the picturesque Ageas Bowl on the south coast.
