Series Overview
Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel — the franchise that would later become Trinbago Knight Riders — claimed their maiden CPL title in 2015 on home soil at Queen's Park Oval, Port of Spain. Dwayne Bravo was the tournament's defining presence: his charisma, leadership, and genuine all-round ability (batting lower-order runs and crucial wickets at key moments) earned him Player of the Tournament and made Red Steel greater than the sum of their parts. The 20-run victory over Barbados Tridents, defending 178/5, was authoritative. It was the beginning of the most successful franchise story in CPL history — five titles between 2015 and 2025 under the Red Steel and TKR banners.
